No worries. The original post is mine, so I think you are asking me? The other eggs do not belong to me.
1- 27 eggs
2- Sol'a completed her lay on October 7th, she died the next morning.
3-Eggs are ALL still thriving and growing! We are at 28 days incubation now!
So, you likely saw another...
We can sell them if we so desire. Florida just doesn’t want them wrecking havoc on their natural environments. I’m sure they’re cleaning out some sort of bug habitat LOL.
Thanks for all the help! Went through all this about 5-6 weeks ago. Just wanted to confirm my suspicions on sex and gestation. We are going to "remodel" some things though, to make it safer for our chams. Appreciate all the feedback!
Warm Regards. :)
She was found on a local vendor property. So we rescued her. FWC states that veiled Chams are invasive and if caught/obtained you must either keep as pet or euthanize.
There are no lights, we live in southern Florida, so nature provides all that lol. Her cage is up off the ground and rather large. (36x36x36)
This was taken about half way through the build. On the bottom we have a washed play sand filled bin with a good amount of coverage. When the monsoon...
Hello!! Meet Star, our newest wild caught rescue. We received her on Friday October 22 and noticed right away she is likely female and possibly Gravid. Eek!!!
We recently and sadly lost our first female rescue after she dropped 27 eggs. That’s another thread tho.
We have moved Star to her new...
Just checked on them, currently 19 days from completed lay and ALL of them are looking great! I would expect if they were not fertile that they would have started to decay by now. They are actually growing some! We actually received information that our little Sol'a was in an enclosure with...
Forgot to post last night. She blessed us with what looks like 27 fertile eggs!! We laid Sol’a to rest near the tree pictured. She will get plenty of sun there. 💔🌎🦎
Just wanted to add our little girl to the list.
We acquired her on September 13th as a wild rescued Veiled in Ft Meyers. She was thought to have been a male, but much to our surprise she was a gravid female!
We are about to dig up her clutch to find out how many possible babies she left...
We do intend to incubate. Shined the light on the eggs visible and they are orange!! We have to get supplies. This was an unexpected lay. I know we could be in danger the longer we wait. We intend to remove today. Just have to find vermiculite or perlite. Everywhere we have gone is weirdly out...
I know the picture is dark, but she’s covered her hole and is resting. Should we wait until Sunday and then remove the bin?
She is camping out in one of her favorite places, prepping to water and feed her.
Here she is this am! Looks like she is wrapping up her lay. She is burying them now on our live feed! Super cool to watch! We know we aren't out of the woods yet. Fingers Crossed she had a full successful lay!
