Nice post! Unfortunately for Americans, we can't get a nice big glass enclosure with a screen top without coughing up some big $$$, so I just use screen lol
Yeah, that's true. I'm just saying that they actually do change color in order evade predators in addition to mood and temperature. But yeah, they don't change colors like that.
Yes they do, although it's mostly mood and temp. Recent studies show that chameleons will actually assume certain colors depending on a few variables, such as location, the potential predator, etc.
That's what I'm saying. I'm trying to find an all around good feeder supplier so I can get a ton of different insects shipped over here (I live on the west coast) I'm trying to find low prices and shipping costs, but that seems to be hard to find...
Hey guys, just a quick question here. I want to
know a good website where I can buy a variety of feeders for a good price and a low shipping fee. Also, what are some of the best feeders that I can give to my chameleon? Right now indeed him crickets, super worms, and roaches, so I want to...
I have a 24x24x48 with a 24x24x48 water tray. The water tray works good though. Just drill a few holes to allow for the water to drain into the water tray and it will evaporate off. That's what I did.
Ok I think I found a solution. I set the mist king to do a few sprays throughout the day so it doesn't flood any cages but still provides water and moisture, and I just hand mist the chameleon while I'm not gone. Thanks for the replies everyone!
I have a mistking system feeding 3 different cages: my veiled cham, 2 nozzles, crested gecko, 1 nozzle, and two whites tree frogs, 1 nozzle. What are good misting times/durations that will provide a good misting and avoid flooding? Thanks!
Hey everyone, need some help here. Does anyone know the the measurements (specs) of the screen top wedges for attaching nozzles for the mistking? And are they absolutely necessary? Thanks!
Hey everyone. I'm new to chameleons, but not new to reptiles/amphibians. I just got a young veiled chameleon yesterday, and stuck him in this 2'x2'x4' screen enclosure with a ficus tree. He is eating and drinking just fine, he's nice and healthy, but I want to know about this basking spot. I...
Sorry, yet ANOTHER dumb question. I just want to be prepared for the chameleon haha. Anyways, would tap water straight from the kitchen sink treated with ReptiSafe be okay for a veiled chameleon to drink/be misted with?
Awesome. Thanks for the answers. But I have one more question: Is tap water treated with ZooMed's ReptiSafe good for misting? I just want to make sure the water will be safe as well.
