Chameleon died, please help me figure out why

I am so sorry for your loss. It really sucks when that happens. I agree with @Nursemaia and everything she said. You will need to fix the supplements and a much better gut load for your next cham. You should have been giving a multivitimin twice a month as well. Aslo, your temps were...

Shedding and Size of Baby Panther

He could be a little slow on growing but if you have had him for 5-6 months then he seems small to me. Yes, dubia are better than crickets for what they offer and once can equate to a few crickets but he should still have been eating more than that. Just an example....my panthers put away...

Shedding and Size of Baby Panther

I would also get some better gut load. Cereals are not a great gut load. Get some Bug Burger, then you can add veggies too. just oranges and cereal won't cut it nutritionally for your chams.

Shedding and Size of Baby Panther

Sorry for the confusion, I was talking about the picture @nightanole had posted thinking it was yours by mistake. I would try offering a variety of feeders as well. At that age they should be putting away more than just 4 a day more like 10-15. They do start tapering off a little but his...

Shedding and Size of Baby Panther

What is the bump with behind the back leg? Is it still there today? That looks like something that needs a vet to look at. Are you offering anything else besides the dubia? I would get him checked for parasites...of you have had him for 5-6 months he should be bigger.

What got you into reptiles in the first place???

I've just always been the animal person, even as a kid. I've had...birds, rats, snakes, bunnies, dogs, cats, salamanders, turtles, a tortoise.... I worked a summer camp in Florida where I was in charge of the petting zoo first then moved to the reptile trailer halfway through since the guy that...

    I need help!!!!

You need to know the temps in his basking spot. Also, filling out the How To Ask for Help form will help us help you get your husbandry right. Get a probe thermometer or as suggested above a laser thermometer. Temps are very important.

    Chameleon Paradise

I do @ScrantonStrangler .... He was beautiful! I loved the white around his mouth. Here are two normal colors and then one really pissed off after a vet visit. All of my baby pictures of him though are gone because my computer was stolen:(

    Baby veil won't eat

Blue, red, purple....it doesn't matter. any light will disrupt their sleep. If you house drops below 50, then you could use a ceramic heater that gives off no light. As long as he has a good basking spot to warm up in the morning the temp drop will not hurt, it will only help. A temp drop of...

    Baby veil won't eat

Nope, he will be just fine. The temps can go as low as 55 and he will be fine.

    Baby veil won't eat

@Acall1st, First of all, you need to get him to a vet ASAP. Something is not right. I will say the floor of his cage is WAY too wet. Using paper towels that you can change out is better than having wet carpet that can breed bacteria. Once you get him to a vet there are a few things you will...
