I know it sounds bratty but after discovering this forum, I have fallen in love with this species-- I am a novice however. Are they really difficult to keep? I have a male veiled at the moment he is very healthy but what an attitude! Ugh
Since we are on the subject of branches I thought I would let people know Walmart has a crafts section that sells all size and shape branches for floral décor or other crafts. Pretty good prices too and I didn't have to clean them
He will start to chill out, I don't handle mine yet, it's been a month but he explores my room when I am home now and shows more colors. Try hand feeding him
Funny I have had him for almost a month and he (male Veiled 5 months) has been displaying some great colors lately and has decided to take advantage of roaming my room. I only leave the door open when I am home but I want to tame him on HIS terms ad he has been venturing out the last few days...
My male Veiled chameleon started shedding yesterday and he is still in the process. I noticed he is not very active or hungry. I'm guessing this is normal? He is around 4 months and I have had him for 3 weeks! I was reading that frequent misting helps too. Anything else I need to know?
He looks to be the same age as my little guy about 3-4 months. I got mine at Petsmart which probably wasn't the best place, but here he is. Mine was brown for 2 weeks also, sometimes it is just stress or the temperatures in the cage.
Here is my little guy this morning. He seems to be FLOURISHING now. I have been keeping the cage door open and he sits on the branch facing me outside and just stares at me while I type and surf the net LOL
