my mister was on at the time, so I assume the water, but she was also licking it off leaves. I was also told that they did not give her any supplements during the time they had her.
Hello all!
I just got home with my new chameleon. She is a rescue and a female veiled that I believe is around 4 months old. She had been living in a 40 gallon glass tank and little to any plants. They had her for about 3 months. I was wondering if her walk was just shaky leaf since she is not...
I would recommend mesh or screen personally. I used rocks and I had feeders that liked to hide in the plants and would only come out if I watered the plant a bunch or you can do both :)
His dish at the bottom of the cage is for feeding, correct? Looks like a bowl, but it could be a rock or something. I'm also seeing substrate. You want to remove that. They do not need any and can accidentally ingest it when eating a feeder if one gets to the bottom.
This website has a lot of good info. Just make sure you wash the plants in soapy water in case they have pesticides. You also want to use organic soil and cover it with rocks or screen to prevent your Cham from accidentally ingesting any soil.

He doesn't appear to have places to hide in and could stress him out. You also want to limit the amount you hold him especially since you just got him and he is still adjusting.

Despite our best efforts and medicine from the vet, Leon passed this morning.
please no bashing as this is a difficult situation to deal with. RIP Leon...
Got him home. Cage is moved away from window to opposite side of the room. Got his first dose of the critical care food and antibiotic. He is resting now in a shaded area, but basking spot is up to 84.
