Nice lookin meller. Like chams1 said... the pads on the casque look a little shallow... could stand a few LONG showers to plump them up again. I sometimes mist for hours just to ensure they have the opportunity to drink their fill. I see in your pics that you are wearing gloves... Good idea for...
Bob has two web sites... www.cages.net and www.screencages.com He custom builds screen cages to order, custom sizes, features etc. He built me a 4x4x2 with large size screen... it's great! Once you are on the website click on the "visa" logo... lots more photos of his work.
The short answer would be no.... No chams are truly communal... Most hate each other at the best of times and will only tolerate the presence of another to mate. Then back to the single life! lol
I bought some to try with my melleri... I'm not 100% convinced this is the ONLY sup to use. But I've included it into my routine. I have noticed a few seem a little put off by the flavour... Berries?... Time will tell.
Thanks all! Now to nurse Zippo back to her old piggish self again, shouldn't be too hard, and introduce her to Pissy Pete.... I'm kinda sure he's male... maybe... LOL. I'll post the number of eggs once she's done and I dig them up. The few she dropped in her cage are definitely NOT fertile. Cheers!
I just came home to Zippo laying eggs! I didn't even see this coming! She's been in my care for about 18 months.... Got her as a young adult import, she hasn't been bred under my care, I doubt the eggs are fertile, but I'll incubate them anyway. I've placed her in a laying tub to finish. All...
I've recently taken an interest in green tree monitors! Has anyone here kept them? Any advice or tips? I do have a couple of rather large arboreal habitats not in use at the moment that with a few mods & additions may make good monitor habitats. I haven't purchased one yet but I am seriously...
YEARGH!! I wanted to go... planned for months... STUPID WORK!! Now I'll just get to hear all about the great deals & awesome chams I missed out on... YEARGH!! Maybe I could fake my death & head to Reed Deer... LOL
Yea... I mist alot longer. I've set up cages with good drains, so flooding isn't an issue. My first mist is only a half hour after lights on. I've been thinking about pushing the time back but it's been working so far. I go for 20 min. I find it takes a bit before they get the idea but then they...
