The vet said it’s possibly a injury he’s had for a while and as he’s free it’s became more problematic , before his recent troubles I never saw him fall , it is meaning he’s struggling to do the toilet , I presume that’s it’s uncomfortable for him to get into position , he’s eating fine and...
Hi , a few weeks back I posted about my Cham Kurt and his back legs problem , various trips to the vet later , blood tests , xrays etc it has turned out he has a lower back problem , the vet has prescribed gabapentin and metacam , I have reduced his viv so he can’t climb very high ( so he...
Cheers mate , I will try using that for a month and see how he gets on with it , it’s pissible I’ve been over doing supplements as I dust the veg then dust the insects before feeding , I have bought a small tank to put insects in so I will make sure they just get fresh veg then dust before...
I bought the repashy under recommendation from someone on this forum and have never used it before , so you would just put calcium on veg etc in with the insects then not dust before feeding ? I would use the calcium daily ( have been doing that ) and the D3 twice a month but may use the repashy...
Yeah it has D3 , how would you recommend there use ? Just dust before feeding to Kurt ? I at the moment put veg in the powder then leave in with insects
I ordered repashy calci plus , also a zoo med with D3 and one without , I mist regular and I have bought a mini tank to put live foods in and work on the gut loading , I will take all advice onboard and really appreciate it , thank you guys
The waterfall is going tonight , the vet has ran xrays and bloods , I spoke to him a hour ago , he said On a scale of 1-10 Kurt would be a 1 for MBD and he can eliminate that as the problem , he says he’s goi g to try a course of anti biotics so I guess he’s thinking along the same lines as you...
Yeah I’m thinking I should do that mate , I’ve moved all his branches to lower points but not want him to far from heat/uvb , I’m giving him calcium and have got multi vitamin today so hopefully I can turn his condition around , waiting on vet calling also , he xrayed and took bloods but said...
I really hope so , I just came home and he was lying on the floor of his cage , holding his left front leg with his back left , unable to release I think , I’m giving him liquid calcium from vets but it seems to be doing nothing :(
I don’t think the calcium contains D3 , someone advised that I stop using that brand as it’s not recommended so I have ordered new ones as advised on below list , have you heard of chams holding there legs ? In your opinion can he heal ? .
The uvb bulb is only a week old , last one about 7 months old , I use the nutrobal calcium daily and the D3 once a month , I dip lettuce or carrot in the vitamins and leave it in the insects tubs then when I take them out I also dust them , I’m not so sure he’s releasing as fell again yesterday :(
I have ordered , so the repti calci without D3 will be the everyday one , one week I will use the calci plus and one week I will use the D3 , I always just used the calci and the D3 on occasion , I always dip a carrot or bit veg in the calcium and put it in with the bugs , I have learned a lot...
I have ordered both , I should Dust my insects with calci plus and use the one containing D3 just 1 week of the month , hopefully my little boy improves soon , i thank you again for your assistance
It’s all wood with glass doors , there’s vents on the side and back , I also open doors to allow air in frequently , you think airflow could cause his problem ?
