While in florida I did somewhat of a free range. I had a huge screen porch encasing my pool and tons and tons of plants that were so thick you couldnt see through them! anyways I had 10 panther chameleons that peacefully live out there for most of the year and we always would find hatchlings...
I have had many stubborn chameleons when it comes to laying. Try to place her in a laying bin that she cannot get out of for the day and see what she does, although she does not sound ready to lay by the way you explain her activities. I would still try to conceal her to the laying bin.
UVB is a personal preferance, if you have live plants it would be nice and I add it just because it would naturallly be there in the wild. As for supplementation I Just use a quality gutload (cricket Crack) and lots of veggies and fruits. I dont dust.
