Excellent idea Hoj. I could even mount it to a piece of sheet metal between the wood and plastic and help spread the heat out over a larger area perhaps.

The electronic ballast is what sold me. Lots of the cheapo lights use the less efficient magnetic types. Electronic ballasts seem to put out the full wattage better too.
