I'm not sure if anything like this has already been posted, but I thought i'd share a easy method I use to dust crickets.
What you need:
Gatorade bottle
Cardboard tube
Just keep a cardboard tube (from paper towl or toilet paper) in the cricket cage. And when it comes time to dust just...
I had this problem too so I moved the cage next to the window. The tree gets all the light it needs. Mango likes being by the window too, so I got 2 birds stoned at once. If thats not an option maybe you can get some fluorescent bulbs for the tree.:D
If you want to spend $$ you could buy one of those small sinks for laundry rooms. I think they are about $50. I have seen some that are perfect size for 24"x24"x48" They already have the drainage hole and everything!:)
I don't have a tripod either. Wish I did! But if my pictures are shaky I just build my own out of boxes or whatever is around. Just something that will keep the camera stable.:p
You'll probably be OK. If the plants start dying you could always buy another incandescent or fluorescent, even a CFL. Full spectrums work best. I don't think the UVB light has any effect on plant growth.
I would do it as soon as possible. Yea he might get stressed, but i think its better than him getting use to his current environment and then changing it up on him. I usually let my chameleon walk around on a pile of clothes when I clean her cage. You could even stick him in the shower with a...
Snowboarding is my #1 hobby. It's been kinda slow lately tho cause I separated my shoulder last year and fractured some ribs recently. I usually ride at Breck.
Are there any certain brands you use for the fish oil or vitamin a? Is this something wal-mart has? I have a 4 year old veiled who shed her upper body a couple days ago and still hasn't shed the rest.
My first (and only) is a female veiled now about 4 years old. I got her from a local pet store. She was around 6 months old and got her for 50.00. It was kind of an impulse purchase. I was like what the heck is that thing, but was fascinated. I feel pretty lucky she has lived as long as she...
Looks pretty good. What kind of chameleon do you have? I would try to separate the basking bulb and UVB as much as possible because its kind of a small cage and the chameleon should be able to choose one or the other.
I had those on my Hibiscus and i mixed a tiny bit of dish soap with water in a spray bottle. Then i sprayed the leaves and washed it. It worked for me!
