That would work just fine depending on the size of your cage. Give it a try.
Why do you have a humidifier running into the cage? Is it that dry where you are? Humidifiers that are not clean or that create too much un-natural humidity are known to cause URI.
Can you take some pictures of the animal? Sounds like you need a Vet, but without seeing we really have no idea. Can you also give us some idea of the conditions it was in before?
Hi Bradley! Yes-I do notice that after 3 they will bask more, move around a little less. But if you show him a female or another male, I am sure it will put some pep back in his step!
If there is infection and swelling it is not a Vit A issue-it is an infection that needs to be treated. Get some Terramycin, or get some antibiotic drops from the Vet-do not let eye infections go.
I have used up to 75 watt lightbulbs in regular clamp lamps that keep the bulb at least 2" away and have never had melting issues. I generally use 60 watts, and have for years, and the top does get discolored from the bulbs.
