i had a brev die almost a month ago due to some kind of egg binding, she loose laid one egg and then died about a week later. she became paralyzed in the back eggs and the back half of her lost colour and turned white. poor girl. but yes, the cham we lost was a veiled. it sucks cause they can...
i'm canadian, so our thanksgiving was at a resonable time of year, last month :D lol all jokes. happy thanksgiving to your americans, hope you have a great and blessed one. i was listening to the Lions and Patriots game at work today, LIONS ALMOST WON! well, not almost. but had a good lead for a...
dude, no offense but that is a pretty lame thing to say. like kinyonga said, its true that nature weeds out the weakest, but what we take in and buy for our collection is in most cases already in good health. its our responsibilty to be their "nature" from that point on, and if you dont want to...
she honestly could have been eating too much and producing continuous egg yolks with no shell, she may have had a calcium defficiency, or her laying conditions wern't right. ours was gravid for about 6 months as well if not longer, and she produced so many egg yolks, not a single one developed...
im realy sorry about your loss :( my condolences go your way. i know how frusturating the gravid process is. we've lost one female last year in the same means of egg binding. it sucks. but i know your little one is in a better place now.

Update:
we just got home, before we left, the vet and i check the x-ray and there were still a few more. maybe 6ish. so we gave her another shot of oxytocin. im not going to put her in her cage, she is still in her shoebox ontop of a heating pad set to warm. i will keep checking the heat.

In advance, how much should I feed her when she's ready to eat and fir how long? Should I offer electrolytes or will the food and water be enough? I'm guessing yes if she doesn't eat at all? I just wanna do this right.
I did have the xray done first. No shot hasn't been given yet. Thank you so much for your inputs guys. She is so much lighter now I'm afraid to pick her up lol. Just waiting for the xray now. We are 40 eggs all together now. Wow. I was hoping for a smaler clutch lol
Deffinatley. We unfortunatly had my gfs female pass away from a spade survey from vein eggbound. She was so awsome and we did all we could for her. We just did things too wrong in the beginning before finding the forums. But I'm just thankfully I don't have to go through that again.
