    Help me

...on that. I have a feeling the other people neglecting him were feeding him something like mealworms so he is probably like what is this cricket/dubia roach. I ordered some black soldier fly worms for him but they won’t get here for another couple days. Would you guys suggest me “starving...

    Chameleonaire is addicted

How old is your chameleon? Generally, they can go a couple weeks without food. I wouldn’t stress too much unless it gets close to around 2 weeks. My bet is your cham will break before then and eat the roaches, crickets or something besides the supers.

Is there any way to get rid of the cricket stink?

...of adults to thousands of baby crickets within a couple of weeks if incubating the eggs at high temperatures. To do that with something like Dubia I'd have to start off with a lot of adults. Crickets are a boom/bust type of animal. When I need to prodice a huge volume fast, that's an...

Babysitting, dubia roaches, and a cat...

So one of my new year resolutions was to get my dubia colonies well started, so I can give some to my reptile friends that live nearby. I have 3 males and 10 females. Well my friend came over while I was babysitting my little brother and everything was great. But suddenly... a brown blob of bug...

    Dubia Escapee

These photos certainly do a lot of justice for dubias. Look how totally cute it looks up there! I wasn't crazy about bugs for a while, but getting an expanded diet for my scaly darlings really made me tolerant of the little crawlies.

    Appetite Loss— Help!

...if I gently press both sides of his jaw with my fingers and quickly push a bug into his mouth, he’ll eat it! I managed to get Rango to eat 3 Dubias and drink a bit of water (by gently dripping water into his mouth from the mister). I tried using a leaf, but he didn’t notice it, so I had to...

are there any alternative foods for chameleons?

...stores. Many buggy vendors sell variety packs, which are fantastic. Check some of the sponsors, like Rainbow Mealworm, the Critter Depot and Dubia Roaches. https://www.chameleonforums.com/sponsors/?tag=food Fram’s Cham’s also sells silkworms. For grasshoppers, there are only two sources that...

    Show me your feeding dishes!!

I have the same as @ChameleonBoy26 and I have a full throttle feeder https://www.fullthrottlefeeders.com/ Both work good for me. Of course large dubias can crawl out of both but otherwise good feeders. 😊

    egg bound veiled? infertile

...forgot to attach previously. @jannb do you know of any other good vets in the Sarasota or Tampa area? Btw, we can get legal roaches here. Not dubia, but discoid, which are similar and some sources say are better than dubia. I get mine from https://www.lindasgonebuggie.com/page/397479218 who...

I would get a fecal test run to ensure there is not a parasite load. It has quite a bit of mucous in it.

Getting a Cham soon, what supplies and brands should I use?

Welcome, and good job doing the research first! Dubia.com has all of those shipped to you and they have decent pricing. Beats anything I can find locally and shipping cost is about the same as anything close enough for me to drive to with gas and time. Dubias make a good staple, Hornworms, if...

Dubias, as great as they are, can be tough for a picky eater to come around on. I'm unsure of her age, but she still looks like a growing cham that eats...

    Panther Chameleon Sex ID

He seems to be liking the dubias more than anything anyway so that problem solves itself. Funny enough these were the most massive stools I’ve ever seen him drop. I almost feel sorry for the poor thing dropping those absolute UNITS.

Won’t eat anything but large meal worms.

As Lucas said, sometimes tough love is the way to go with Chams. I would offer your cham only different types of bugs (NOT mealworms; offer dubia, silkworms, crickets, etc). If she doesn’t eat them, then just don’t feed her for the day. Your cham should give in eventually and the problem will...
