A bunch of questions about your setups.

I’ve officially settled on a baby from Fram’s Cham’s. It will be a little while before before he’s shipped to me as he’s still under 3 months, and I’m still getting everything set up. It’s real now - I’ve got an actual chameleon picked out. I was definitely expecting to be excited (and I am...

    Weighing

Is there a chart or something that gives a percentile for growth and weights for veiled Chameleons? Or an average weight. What is an average weight gain for a growing Cham? I weighed my female about a month ago (really not easy cause she wasn't exactly thrilled with the idea) Then again...

    Curious About this Chameleon...

If you go to his web site Emerald Scales, you’ll see that most of the animals from this video have already been adopted out. I’m hoping the cham has survived and Alex keeps it. Stan needs some competition. (Ya gotta love Stan)

Thank you! That means a lot (: ! Okay so I do have a scale that I can use to weigh her, I’ve seen video on Neptune the chameleons YouTube where she puts them on plants and weighs them, I’m not completely sure on how to weigh her though. Weighing

Make sure you account for the weight of the stick... You would want to weigh that separately an take it off her weight. I have a stand I bought from Tamura designs on facebook. It makes it much easier for my boys. Put the stand on the gram scale zero it out then let the boys climb up on to it...

    A big drainage problem.

Depending how limited your options are, you can use your tap water, then when/if you notice it clogging or the pressure increasing you can get a scale removing kit. There’s food safe ones in hardware stores where I live

    Gravid?

You may need to get a kitchen scale that measures grams. I use a small stick stuck in the sides of a small lightweight box to weight my chams. None like being weighed...I weigh all of my reptiles at least once a month. As my girls start looking plumper, I weigh them every week or two. When...

t5 vs Sansi for Plant Lights?

The 6500 kind of refers to color, cool white, warm white etc. Daylight is around 6500k. There is another scale , lumens I believe, par in aquariums, This has to do with how much light is being out put. This is not usually listed, as it changes over time like the UVB. I have not used these...

Which lizards absorb water rather than drinking it

Species: Thorny devil (Moloch horridus) Habitat: Arid deserts and scrublands of Australia What devilry is this? The thorny devil lizard uses its entire skin as a web of drinking straws to soak up water from soggy sand. This allows it to drink with its feet and skin, which comes in handy in a...

    Bioactive Mentor

My wall is about 60% covered with large pieces of cork bark and rounds that I got from biodude. I just used the foam to attach and fill in between. I like the look a lot better than all one or the other.
