Fungus gnats ,will mosquito bits help?

...pain in the butt, but the mantids hatch, munch on the gnats or white flies for a few days before becoming a snack for the Chameleon. It’s also a great enrichment for the Chameleon! When one or two mantis escape… I don’t mind because they’ll chill on my house plants and continue to do the good...

I hope I’ve been of some help. If we can help in any other way, just ask. Sending healing vibes for your guy. 💗

    Feeding cups!

Yeah they're free ranging our boy right now haha but he's in a smaller enclosure of course. I won't be doing that because I want to keep track of what he's eating as good as I can. I ended up buying the feeder from their site that @Beman suggested! Side note: I still need to find a smaller...

    Black flies

Yes! It's such a great form of enrichment. The flies that get out in the house tend to come back towards the UVB light and my chameleon tries to catch them but they're outside the cage. 🥺 I guess in the wild there are going to be times when they don't catch their prey but it makes me sad hahaha

A little long winded introduction 😁

He’s a handsome fella and looks very comfortable, my plan was to go With a branch and plant overload and utilise all the available space I have, apart from the top 8 “ I plan to keep free, I love the idea with the perch and may have to borrow it, I like making things that I feel will enrich my...

    PLEASE HELP!! CHAMELEON EYE

...HARDY and live forever, I swear, and they can't fly, climb well, or bite). I also do BSFL (or the flies themselves for some hunting enrichment when I forget I have a bunch of them and they all gestate overnight and suddenly I have a container full of flies >_>) and my cham really loves both...

US Superworms Available in Portland, Oregon

...now. Great for reptiles, amphibians, mantids, birds, fish, hedgehogs, sugar gliders, and any other insect-eating animal! Can even be a fun enrichment treat for rodents like hamsters, mice, and rats. Superworms (Zophobas morio) are juicer, more nutritious, have better calcium to phosphorous...

...her her favorite bugs to build trust and/or take her outside (to an outdoor cage or on your hand- beware of predators, they act quick) for enrichment and as a reward. I’ve attached a great blog entry on how to build trust below! Feeding - I'm feeding her crickets, horn worms, and super worms...

Is it safe to let my chameleon hang out in a small tree outside during nice days?

...a large potted tree and enclosed it with a large butterfly cage. And others like @crosscutts build beautiful large mobile enclosures. It‘s true enrichment for them, however I get that feeling that the Jackson doesn’t like that endless blue sky and that’s the reason he goes after 30’ back inside.

Is it safe to let my chameleon hang out in a small tree outside during nice days?

...cage being room temp (67-72). So my question is, is it a bad idea to put her in the small tree outside of my apartment to give her some enrichment? I'm mostly just worried about birds I guess. Living in Pennsylvania, my thought is that none of the local birds would try to mess with her since...

    Fast growing?

If you think you need more hanging plants, get a spider plant. They grow fast, and they're my panther's fave when he's out getting 'enrichment'. But IMO you need a centerpiece plant for each side. Different centerpiece plants on each side will also give you the option of switching them once...

    New Keeper Introduction

...being much harder to dust without damaging their ability to fly. And the purpose of feeding them is the fact that they fly and are great enrichment for the cham. I'm guessing you didn't mean 15min - can you please clarify this. Tx- No, I mean instead of having that misting mid day when the...

My Veiled Hunter is always Brown

...silk worms, Dubia and hornworms Yes, variety is best. The amount is good for a growing boy. You could also add some bsfl, which are fun enrichment for your chameleon once they pupate into flies. Additional treats of waxworms and superworms are nice additions and a staple which many have been...

    Crickets

dubia roaches would be good as well. Maybe some Bsfl for enrichment. If he doesn’t like the larvae he may like chasing and hunting down the flies.

    Concerned about my cham

...to get you some asap. BSFL are pretty simple to deal with. Once they pupate they become hard and almost black in color. Then they will hatch out as a fly. These are great for chams as an enrichment feeder. You just let them loose in the cage. While in larvae stage you just feed them to the...

    Rain maker water

The main consideration I made when using a mist system is that tap or bottled / mineral water will accumulate all the minerals on the nozzle. Eventually it will reduce the spray. I don't think it's a rapid process but one to be aware of none the less. I also have a drip system you can prob get...

    Tongue issue

...3-4 med to med/lg feeders (or equivalent) either every other day or 3 days a week (plus one treat day). Besides it giving him a bit more enrichment and enjoyment (for lack of a better word) while eating, he’ll have more bugs to transfer nutrition and the supplements to him. While not really...

    Enrichment Ideas?

I'm looking for ways to give enrichment to my 8-9ish month old veiled. She's pretty personable (considering what I've seen about veilds in general lol) and I'd love to do something interesting/enriching for her to enhance her day-to-day. I have already taken her outside a few times which she...
