My new free range!

This is what I have set up so far. I need to add vines/branches and glue a few more sticks onto the curtain pole thing. :) I also have to put the light's wire more along the wall. So far (even without the branches and what not) the chameleons approve! I open up the window for some real sunlight in the mornings as well. Since it's in a shower I don't have to worry about drainage! I eventually hope to find a shower head that produces a fine mist for the guys.

It's 5' wide x 7' tall x 30" deep. (I had to build a rack/stand thing so I could put a bunch of smaller/medium sized plants in there!)

Nice set up, looks great. But where are you going to take a shower? lol. Just a recommendation; I would try to stay away from using the shower as a water/misting source, since there are chemicals such as chlorine and other chemical names that I don't know about.

pssh may have a water purifier or other system in her house to have cleaner water.

Hey Kara who is going to free range? Looks like you have room for a mellers you lucky girl.:p The sep up really does look good, you will have the happy chameleon dance at your house.:D

I wish I could have a mellers! My mom said that she wants to be able to take it down if we have guests over, so I dont think it would work out... Maybe one day I can convince her though!

I just need to convince me! I really don't feel like I have the space to devote to a mellers, but I sure would love one. I bought one of fluxlizard's baby mellers for my sister and I get to hear every day how great he is, life just isn't fair.

It looks great Kara! Nice work so for. Your chams will love it!!!! :):D:):D What will you do rotate and let them take turns using it?

That looks great!!! I love the shower idea. I have my Melleri in our spare bathroom free ranging!! I have it painted green :p I can't wait to see pics of them in it!!

Thanks guys :) I plan to rotate them for free range time. I think Pan is starting to not mind me getting him out so much because I put him in there now! Hyperion just likes being out.

that's a great idea!!!! i'm jealous of all of you keepers that have an extra room just for your chameleons!!!! i'm sure they just love having all of the space!!!

:D My mom isn't always happy about having them all in the guest room, but I think she prefers it to the living room.

I was trying to get Pan out to free range, but he wasn't having any of it. However Hyperion was willing to go after I fed him. He finally ate some dubias and crickets today! He's been on a hunger stike for two weeks, and before that he would only eat superworms for a while. For some reason he decided to semi-fire up when I set him down in the free range so he's all colorful in these. (if any of you are thinking about getting a Patron baby from Chameleons northwest, DO IT!!!)

And this is how he reacted to me putting my face really close to him.
