UPDATE: For some reason I'm not allowed to post a reply (since it's been moved), but I wanted to say that Ambrose has already found a new home. :) Thank you so much for everyone who has sent me messages.

Hi everyone!
I have a 15 month...
Thanks for the response. Yes, I haven't felt great about putting my hand over his back. He does get jumpy and puffed up when I do so. Luckily, I think I can still salvage our relationship if I don't do that anymore. Whenever I put my fingers under his chin to pick him up he remains calm - I'll...
Yeah, I've been told to try the branch thing. Honestly, I'm not sure if it would work because the large aluminum cages have a "pocket" up top that I think he would climb right off into. But I'll try!
I know he at least TOLERATES me. When I took him to the vet awhile back he turned pitch black...
Hi all!
I've had my 7 month old male panther for three months now, and I've been working on getting him more familiar with me. For awhile I was only pulling him out twice a week to bask in the sun, and he seemed sort of okay with that. An acquaintance of mine, who used to breed panthers...
No one has any more thoughts on this?
The saline I've been administering doesn't appear to be doing any good. His eye is still significantly smaller than the right. Weird. :/
Yes, I checked his vision earlier, too - he did follow the finger, so obviously he can see. He also seems to miss his mark more than he used to - he seemed to have 100% accuracy back in the day and now it's more like 60-80% on a given day. It'll be interesting to see if anyone has any ideas, but...
Hi all!
I got my Ambrose in November, and he's wonderful and growing like a weed! While he's generally healthy, he's had a constant issue that doesn't seem to go away.
Since a week after I got him he's had an issue with his left eye. Initially, he kept it shut most of the time and it...
I wanted to update that it was the UVB light - I spoke to the breeder and they mentioned a basking distance of about 8" from the UVB light. Mine was only 3" away! I elevated the light and within a few hours he was back to normal. :)
No, it's just a regular heat bulb. And I know for a fact the UVB tube light is like-new. I could always try switching out all the lighting for a 100w Powersun Bulb (I have several extras) and see what happens. My veiled seemed to like being under that one.
Your Chameleon - Male panther chameleon. 4 months old. He's been here less than a week.
Handling - I've been messing with his cage a couple times, but never touching him directly.
Feeding - I've been hand-feeding dusted 8-12 dubia roach nymphs every day. Planing on getting some crickets and...
So I put him and his ficus into my shower and gave him a good, long mist... eye opened! So that's a relief. Is this just a humidity problem with my enclosure, maybe?
