So far since Donny started showing symptoms of MBD I’ve been feeding every other day giving time for the food to digest which is 2 sometimes 3 crickets since they’re the easiest I can hand feed with
So I got Donny a hospital enclosure fixed up by turning the enclosure on its side and moved some leaves around to where Donny can bask and still not have to worry about falling and hurting him/her self, I also have a sheet folded at the bottom for soft landing and it has some leaves and flowers...
This is the best picture that I can get of Donny’s hind legs so we can get to the bottom of the male or female discussion :) btw he/she is attempting to climb down since this is how Donny slept and has been moving around a little bit too
If it really is a female then this blows my mind cause Donny has never stopped eating nor acted like he/she needed to nest or lay eggs which confuses me is there a way they can lose Spurs on the back of their feet cause I did buy him from a pet store soo something could’ve happened to where...
I’ve never seen one before but I’ve tried to make one to my own accord no steep limbs for climbing jus ones that he can go across easily with no struggle hopefully
Another question is how do I make sure my chameleon is basking correctly if not being able to climb and control his muscles well should I continue the hammock trick I’ve been doing or something else
Hmmm I can’t really tell if Donny has spurs or not on the hind legs from the way he is rn but he’s never acted like he’s wanted to lay eggs and his casque is very large to be a female from my knowledge of knowing if a Cham is a male or female
I’m most positive that he’s a male hang on lemme find a better photo of him and I can def see the weight issue which is why I started switching up different fatty foods to where he can get his weight back up
This is his inside enclosure but I can’t seem to find his outside enclosure but it has a lot of shade and in a very nice place to where he has a ton of coverage but can get the sunlight that he needs
