    Help Sexing pygmy Chams

I concur with the three female consensus. Sorry! Males are a little smaller than females, and their dorsal crest is spikier, and the tail slightly longer.

Quick update - the weak one died overnight. I could see 5 of the other 6 this morning and they were all hunting, as were the baby yemmies, so all good there.

    Babies!

Thanks guys! Pics are uploading now. I don't hold out much hope for the weaker one as it is sitting with it's eyes shut 95% of the time. However I have seen several of the others eat now which is encouraging. I purchased a fogger this afternoon to keep the humidity up and the temps down - it...

    Babies!

Just a quick post as I have to go out and let my friends dogs out for a wee, but I've just found new-born baby rudis in the viv!! I am SO excited. 7 live ( 1 looks a bit weak), 1 stillborn and 1 died after climbing to the top of a plant. Mum is looking like a deflated balloon but has drunk and...

How do you keep fruit flies in your containers?

My solution - buy a carnivorous plant. (Then spend about 6 weeks learning how not to kill aforementioned carnivorous plant)

    Dying baby yemens

By the way I have 10 left in the cage, 8 of whom seem 100% fine and 2 of whom I see closing their eyes occasionally - however these guys also will drink and eat as I have watched them closely. There is 1 little guy left in my isolation tank so is hanging on in there. To be honest I was expecting...

    Dying baby yemens

The next lot will be kept cooler from the start. I don't know whether I would prefer it to be a general weakness in the eggs or a problem with my husbandry. The first is beyond my control, so I couldn't blame myself - however the second I can do something about! I am dreading the second...

    Dying baby yemens

Good point about the reptisun. I'll look into foggers again- the last one I used was rubbish but was a reptile branded one so I'll do a little research on what you suggest. The cooler part of incubation was at about 3.5 - 4 months, the spike right towards the end - 4 weeks before hatching...
