It's honestly hard to tell when you're just looking at one lone egg by itself.
But if it was sweating over the last month you should be looking for it to shrink in size before it starts to hatch. - this might make it look a little lumpy which could be the dent you were asking about.
Here's a...
I'm sure the color variation has a lot to do with it .. but I've also read that Veiled's are more adaptable. So they do better in captivity and there are more of them to go around.
Its hard to see your egg through the plastic lid but mold on the outside could just mean it's a little too wet inside the container. You could try taking the lid off for an hour or so to dry it a little, but you might want to check with whoever sent you the egg first to see what they say.

I'm not sure how big your cham is but if you put the horn worms in some dirt they'll dig down and make cocoons and eventually turn into moths!
It's a lengthy process but our big panther guys love eating the moths.
its funny that you say that because I keep almost buying some automatic fish feeders to take apart and see what I can change to make them more cricket friendly.
What i really want to see made is something that can safely store a week worth of feeders and slowly release them. (Like how cats/dogs have automatic feeding dishes.)
That way if you go out of town you don't have to worry about having someone come in to feed your cham.
if he's only been with you for a month he may still be adjusting.
Is his cage in an area that he sees you frequently? or does he only see you when you try to interact with him? (having him somewhere he can observe you for a while can help reassure him you're not a threat)
Be patient though, he...
A few years ago we started out with 4 and were told 2 were male and 2 were female. I felt like I was loosing my mind trying to tell the difference between them.
Turns out the breeder was VERY wrong. all 4 were females 😂
I don't know much about veiled's but she def looks egg bound in that photo from above. Set up a lay bin asap.
If she's still eating / drinking then I wouldn't move the vet visit up because those are good signs.
