I know vets in my area will work on a payment plan with their customers. They don't always advertise it, sometimes you have to ask. Most vets are pretty good about it and love to help in any way

I want to say that you're doing such a great job caring for Pickle in his time of need. I think you're doing so much more than what a newbie cham owner would have done. I've been lurking on this thread from day one. I was scared for poor little Pickle, but he seems to be doing so much better...

If you have a Fleet Farm (Or probably any farming sort of store like that) near you, you might be able to get them there, but I think they're meant for fishing and might not be "feeder quality" if that makes a difference.

Everything sounds more than wonderful to me! It's nice to hear that you've done a bunch of research. Side-note: before my cham passed, I was going to do an outdoor enclosure but I also live in Wisconsin and weather isn't always favorable here for a chameleon.

I'm no expert, but since it's so close to when his lights go off, I wouldn't worry about it. Is there any natural light in the room? He could be forming a sleep schedule around sunrise and sunset

I honestly just left the bottom bare. It was so much easier to clean. The bowl for the extra water is fine to keep unless you notice it making more of a mess than worth.

Everything sounds great! If I were you, I'd just scrap the eco-carpet. Sometimes it's more trouble than it's worth. I got rid of mine about a week after I had my cham because it would get soaking wet and would never dry.

I'm so sorry for you loss. The medication probably took a great toll on him. At least he's no longer in pain and you did the best that you could to keep him alive make him happy.

Just thought that I would update you all on Walker's condition. Sadly, on Mother's Day, he passed away from unknown causes. It turned out that he didn't have a respiratory infection. My vet wasn't too sure of what was going on with him, so I was going to take him to a bigger and better vet after...
