There is quite a lot of saliva in the last 3 pictures you posted. I am thinking that you might be dealing with an upper respiratory infection.
I never had to deal with this, but as far as I know this needs quite aggressive treatment as soon as possible, so try and visit a reptile vet as soon...
That's still pretty young so he will not be very big yet. It's quite likely he will calm down a bit once he gets a little bigger and gets the idea that he can hold his own a bit better.
Pus coming out of his eye is a clear indication of an infection. Did you ever take him to a vet to get him checked out or had antibiotics subscribed?
It might not be to late to help him, but you need to get him to a vet asap before lasting damage can be done.
To me this sounds as defensive behavior, opposed to aggressive. Especially since you said that he becomes really thin and tries to hide when you approach him.
He probably lunges at you because he sees this as a last resort to scare you off. There is little benefit in him attacking you for the...
Is that a red nightlight in the second picture? I am pretty certain you can ditch that. Chameleons need darkness to sleep well and the light keeps them awake.
It might very well be a reason why your veiled doesn't seem to like its' enclosure, because it is not able to get the rest it needs.
Hmm I suppose he might have broken something when he fell? I think you should take him to the vet and have them take an x-ray to see if he has any broken bones.
Oh wow that doesn't look good at all.
Do you have a heat lamp to keep him warm and do you spray his cage to keep the humidity up?
I have no idea how to help you with the skin issue, but I'd say you take him to the vet as soon as possible!
When I took him to a vet over a month ago he did a thorough inspection of his left eye, but couldn't find anything wrong. No scarring, inflammation or signs of infection etc.
My herp was pretty reluctant to subscribe antibiotics, so he subscribed me an ointment with Vitamin A that I had to...
Okay thanks for your input!
What makes you think it might be an eye infection? I haven't seen any discharge come from the eye. Is it because the turret looks sort of wrinkly?
And some more photo's of his other eye.
(Sorry for the poor quality of all the photo's but I had nobody to help me, and had to make due with artificial light)
Hello everybody, a couple of weeks ago I made a post about my chameleon Ziggy keeping his eyes closed during the day and generally rubbing and trying to clean it a lot. I took him to a herpetologist who couldn't find anything wrong with him and the problem cleared up after about 2 weeks...
