i just wanted to say thank you for the help also one more question its probably dumb. but why to they put the food for the worms on top is it to keep it clean or is that the way the worms feed
I just got my hornworm pod in today and i was wondering if there is anything i need to do in order to feed them to my cham. also i was wondering what temps i need to keep them at and if they like sunlight or what? i am new to feeding them, so i do not know too much about them.
Lowes does do that, as well as Home Depot. We live in the desert and nothing lives very long, so we take advantage. The one thing Lowes is lacking is, Home Depot offers a Military discount....
Does anyone know about 'Birds of Paradise'? From what I have read the only part to worry about is the seeds. Anyone else have any thoughts on it? thanks.....
I don't take him out when it gets that hot. Just some fresh air in the morning. And I have only done that a couple times. I don't want to do too much yet. I think he is still adjusting to everything. But he gets fresh air through the back door everyday. It is about 8 feet from him, so he...
Well I will get you a pic as soon as i can. When I try to attach it, an error messege comes up. It says that it is the forum having problems. So I will keep trying. He does have a pretty good amount of coverage and it is cooler on one side of the enclosure than the other. I will make a few...
Ok. But should I be worried that he is not warm enough? Like you said about them getting dark to absorb the heat.... I will do more reading tonight. I bought a book about care and keeping of veileds. I just thought I would ask about the coloring since he used to be more green and I was...
Also he has a cieling fan in the room with him to help circulate the air. The outside temps here get into the 120's in the summer. So I will move him away from the window soon anyways. I was just going for the natural light vs. the artificial light when I could.
The ambient temp in his enclosure is 82. He is in front of a window but the glass is closed. The sun shines on him in the afternoon and the temp goes up to 92-94. I turn off his basking lamp at that time since he moves away to be in the natural light. Then he eats dinner and goes to sleep...
ok it is not letting put the pic, but his temp is 82 and then goes up to about 92-94 in the afternoon sun. He is estimated to be about three months old. I will try to add the pic a few more times, and then try again tomorrow.
The temp is around 80 and then a little warmer in his basking area. We mist him about 4-5 times a day, then his temp goes down to 70ish at night. And he was sleeping in one of the lower plants.... where it is cooler? But now he is back up really high to sleep and he is sleeping in his basking...
My cham is always brown and only turns green when he sleeps. Sometimes when he eats he turns a little more green, but always brown. When I first got him he was green a lot more. He has been in his screened cage for 10 days. He was in the glass one for one day, and was green more often in...
