hello ,
I have a almost 5 year old veiled chameleon . This past week I noticed he has not been eating well and haven't seen him go to the bathroom. He rarely wants to move now and closes his eyes . I have called a lot of vet hospitals and emergency places but the are either close or won't see...
is this mbd?
I am so scared my baby has it now. . .
I have had Francis for 4 years now
I mist everyday 3-4 times
food: crickets , silk worms and meal worms (as treats ).
he hasn't eaten lately either .. yesterday only ate one meal worm.
he has uv light and basking bulb he also gets natural...
I will call the place near me tommorow , I friends with them so hopefully we can work something out .
But is there anything you can recommend to stop this from happening again?
Chameleon Info:
Your Chameleon - Veiled Chameleon. I have had him for about 2.5 years .
Handling - Almost everyday , let him free range .
Feeding - I feed him about 10-16 crickets everyday , I know after the year mark you're supposed to feed a veiled every other day but he's hungry everyday...
As some people have said every chaemelon is different. And some over the years can change. I have a veiled and he used to be really shy during the first year , but now he waits at the door ready to crawl on my hand he is such a sweet heart.
