Matt 1851 your exactly correct! His eyes are totally fine. Chams tend to retract/close their eyes when they are "shooting" for food so they avoid any unwanted eye injuries from a rouge tong.

hey i thought i would just thank you guys for the help! I followed the instructions from the LRI post. I gave him a few warm showers and he seems to be back to his old self. eating well, drinking and no longer gapping his mouth.
