Do any of you rip the back legs off crickets before putting them in the feeding bowl? I read this on a website and have been doing it for two weeks now with great success.
The crickets dont die or really change their behavior at all. They still scurry around the bowl but can't jump out.
Great thread jimmy. I wish I could find a cage that size for $120. My thread was about just buying a cheap cage like a 24x18x24 bird cage for like $20 bucks at the swap meet just so I could get my guy to soak up some sun for like 30 minutes a day. Not a permanent enclosure.
Anybody ever use these as feeders? I may have a buddy who will be giving me a ton for free. Any tips? Temps, humidty, substrate? IM not too concerned with the breeding. I think he may be giving me like 100+ adults and a ton of babies, so I may be using them just as a treat instead of superworms...
