Meal worms are not a good food for chameleons, especially not when fed with every meal. They have almost no nutritional value and can cause impaction.

This is horrible. Some people just are ignorant and don't appreciate these beautiful animals. Or any animals in general. I'm disgusted. I hope this little guy doesn't suffer too much and it's very brave that you tried to save him.

Try feeding him every other day. Maybe he'll get more interested that way.

Paper towels are the safest option since chams tend to eat substrate accidentally. If you want a more aesthetically pleasing finish, I suggest you go bioctive.

From what I've heard Zoo Med and Arcadia bulbs last almost twice as long as Exo-Terra ones.
