    New Silkworms :)

Hello, A few weeks ago some people on the forums helped me figure out where to buy silkworms and how to care for them. Now that they’ve arrived and I’ve fed Pico a few times, here’s my review and some new questions I have. Overall, they are the best feeder I’ve tried. He loveeess them, they’re...

    silkworms

Thank you for your help! Do you happen to know what days they restock? I only see the “silkworm bundle” in stock. the 20 pack of the worms is probably better for me, but the website shows none are left.

How much should i be feeding?

I think silkworms are probably the best option for me, but I have a few questions about them: 1- How long do they last before turning into moths? 2- I’ve heard they put webs in the container, is that hard to deal with? 3- Where do you recommend purchasing these? 4- How many should I feed to...

    silkworms

From my last post, I became aware that hornworms are not suitable for my cham to be eating every day. I think silkworms are the best choice for me, but I have a few questions about them. 1- How long do they last before turning into moths? 2- I’ve heard they put webs in the container, is that...

How much should i be feeding?

Hello, After my chameleon stopped eating crickets, then stopped eating superworms (which i learned weren’t the best for him anyways), I’ve switched to feeding him hornworms. I buy them at my local pet store in a pack of 5, and give him one every other day. He’s a male veiled cham, around 3 years...

    Hornworm Food

I bought some hornworms online, and when they arrived they did not have very much food left. It came with a pack of around 30, and will not be done feeding for probably 20-25 days. I am a bit scared they will die before I can feed them to Pico, so I’m wondering if anyone knows what to feed...

    Not Eating

Me and my dad are planning to build him a new cage tomorrow. Dimensions are going to be somewhere around 18x36x60 (5 feet tall, 1.5 feet deep, 3 feet long). What size would you recommend? We’re going to build it ourselves so we can do any size.

Yes, I have a digital thermometer that I can move the sensor around the cage to get accurate temps. Here is a picture:

    Siezure?

he is sleeping right now but this is pretty much what his cage looks like. there is another bundle of fake leaves at the bottom though that were added a bit after this photo. also his hammock is about half an inch higher.

    Siezure?

I have fake plants all throughout his cage, just the live one is outside. I usually empty, clean, and re-fill his bowl every night. Also it is the “repashy calcium plus all-in-one vitamin and calcium supplement powder”. I’ll get some photos in a second!

    Siezure?

No. Just head shaking fast back and forth. Looked like when you move your hand back and forth really fast and it looks like your fingers are connecting, if that makes any sense. His eyes looked very confused too so thats why I thought it might be a seizure. After it stopped he seemed fine.

    Siezure?

Update: Just got home and he seems to have eaten one or two of the freeze-dried crickets I have on hand for emergencies (if i run out of worms, etc...). I rarely give them to him because they don’t have as much nutrients, etc... but I’m glad to know he has a bit of food in his tummy. Anyone have...
