What is all this black on her stomach?

Your basking area seems too far away from any uv light exposure. Maybe get more horizontal basking areas for her?

    Chameleon feeder

I would say lower is better so the chameleon can see the food running around below him. Also if I could suggest a horizontal stick or something below the basking light about 8-10 inches so the cham can bask comfortably.

Wild Caught Jackson's Chameleons (Can they be trusted?)

I caught my chameleon wild about 4 years ago here in hawaii and have never had a problem. We have had a few actually. But really it all comes down to how you keep care of your cham. You can get unlucky I guess but I'd say it's worth the risk if it's a reputable seller

    9 month pregnancy jackson question

My female jackson was mated over 9 months ago, and is about 9 months pregnant. Latley she has restlessly been roaming around the bottom of the enclosure. She still basks in her proper spots and eats regularly so I'm not too concerned about a change in her health. I know females of egg laying...

    ANSWER ASAP

Grasshoppers, yes.. to me the health benefits are worth the risk of pesticides. Mine used to eat Flys and ladybugs till I realized both are a nono! Flys eat rotting crap and ladybugs are supposedly poisonous. Luckily my Chams are OK.

    Cham names

My male's name is Yoshi. He is a bright green jackson. My female is named 'cera', short for triceratops and the name of the dinosaur on the land before time!

    New Cham Owner in Hawaii

It will stress out the female (usually) which will lower her immunities and in turn she will be more susceptible to viruses and or parasites. My female hates my male now that she is prego and turns black and hisses if she sees him. It takes her a whole hour to recover after seeing him!

    Very tame chameleon

My Jackson walks onto my hand when I open his cage. His colors get even more vibrant because he knows I will take him outside

    New Cham Owner in Hawaii

I just have them in separate habitats and introduced the male to the females enclosure when she was old enough. You should always make sure they can't see each other unless they are breeding. This is my males enclosure

    New Cham Owner in Hawaii

I live on maui and have 2 Jacksons. 1 male 1 female. I've had the male (wild caught myself) for about 2 years now. He is very healthy off a diet of surinam roaches and sowbugs which I started breeding after a wild caught batch. They also love the occasional common moth I find flying around at...
