    New Cage Build!

A good trick I've used in the past is to put a few drops of black acrylic paint into a 1$ water spray bottle, and add about 2 cups of water and shake well. Spray that onto the rocks from a far and use a wet rag to wipe the excess wherever you don't want it. This way it's so thin that it gets in...

    Feeding hatchling pygmys

Well I lost 1 out of 2 of my hatchlings. The one remaining seems in good health. His substrate contains tropical spring tails, and I occasionaly put some fruit flys (hydie) in his tank. I have no witnessed him eat anything yet. Any ideas, or tips? Tank is a 2.5 gallon with a mixed...

    Alright, so Pygmy eggs..

Not to worry. They have a 2.5 gallon to share with eachother until they get bigger. I have a basic cocofiber substrate, with a handfull of pothos in there to give them something to climb on. They're feeding on springtails, and fruit flys.

    Alright, so Pygmy eggs..

Substrate was a cocofiber/sphagnum moss/topsoil/sand mixture. Good news though. I came home from work today, and found this. So 2 out of 4 made it. Not bad, eh?:D

    Alright, so Pygmy eggs..

It was almost entirely shrivled to nothing. The other 3 eggs were much much larger, almost double in side then this one was. It was stiff on the outside when I cut it, and goo on the inside, once I got through the goo, I used tweezers to remove the small chameleon, as shown. Once the mold...

    Alright, so Pygmy eggs..

It's been a while now, so that's true. The baby wasnt alive. I disected it with a brand new razor blade, and a pair of old plastic tweezers. Insanely small stuff right there.

    Alright, so Pygmy eggs..

So I have some more pygmy eggs, and hopefully this time these actualy hatch! I had a clutch of 4, and one seemed to deflate and start to mold over. I decided to disect that egg to find a fully formed pygmy the size of an eraser. Transparent skin, but all limbs, eyes, mouth, tounge developed...

    Lights too powerfull?

Plants arent really a problem, I have a bunch of 10 gallons that all the plants from my 55 will go. It's just that I have to use the bulbs that are above the 55 now, to go above the 3-4 ten gallons. So until I get the UVB bulb, I'm going to have to wait. Do you think my tank will be sufficient?

    Cheap light fixtures

Yeah, Home Depot sells a single bulb fixture. I almost purchased one, but got the 8.98 dollar dual fixture instead. :)
