one of the big problems with shooting in vivariums is the fact that there is fluorescent and tungsten lighting. This confuses the white balance settings. I usually find setting white balance to fluorescent helps.
I have never heard of live plants carrying coccidia would very much like to see some evidence on this. If you have anything in a cage with an infected animal plants, decor, screen,vines and the like then infestation can occur on these items especially in soil. It thrives on warm wet humid...
our drainage trays fit XL reptibreeze if interested. The idea of them is there is a flat plane to sit plants on and tapered flutes providing run off for water.

Ok I will try to give you a run down.
The enclosure is made from birch faced plywood then coated in a 2-part epoxy paint which they use for sealing ponds. It works well and is totally inert after 72hours. I then use one of our drainage tray in the base.

We designed these ourselves and have three footprints for them. We provide many of these for the European market. We are happy to send them to the US but the shipping makes it very expensive unfortunately.
thanks for the nice comments, yes it has full organic substrate with drainage and misting system. All the plants are outdoor as this is a montane setup that has heavy night time drops. It's running T5 lighting as well as metal halide.

I know initially it can be quite costly and will take time for them to climatize but you will reap the rewards in the young. F1 youngsters are such a fantastic foothold to trigger breeding programs.
