That's what I was wondering. Thanks. It seems like the standard/required rate is one drop per second, so I wasn't sure if it would be okay to do it slower. I'll try that once the plants dry out a little.
Right, but then I'll have water all over the bottom of the enclosure, which I have no way to drain out.
I guess my question is, how long/ frequently will my cham need the drip system running each day?
Hey guys,
I'm trying to finalize my drip system in my tank. Right now there are 5 lines running to various places in the tank and I have them set to drop about 1 drop per second. I've only been filling the bucket (zoo med big dripper) up about 2/3 of the way and it will drop for 4ish hours...
Thanks. The light is just a regular lightbulb I had laying around that I was using to determine how the light would generally be. I haven't picked up my actual bulbs yet. I have a screen panel for the top too, it's just not in. The light on the right is an LED grow light I was planning on using...
Is it getting better? I know I need more horizontal vines. I bought some other ones and grabbed these on a whim, but love them so I'm going to go get more. I also have 2 more pothos to repot. I was thinking of putting one on each bottom corner, and getting the vines to climb up/across the tank...
38 inches across, 18 inches deep, 32 inches tall. My father built the cage. I asked in a previous post if it would be okay and everyone said yes as long as I watched the ventilation.
I pulled all the plants out and am starting over. I'm trying to find more vines/sticks that I can use to span...
So I got a China doll, which I split into 3, an umbrella plant, and a huge pothos that I plan to split into at least 2 maybe 3.
Does it look okay? I've been playing around with it for several hours and I honestly am not liking how the umbrella plant looks but it's one of good plants for Chams...
I'm trying to figure out the volume of plants I should put in my cage. Is the idea more is better? I really dont want it to look cluttered, but I also want my cham to feel comfortable.
Second question, is it better to have more vine plants or more tree types plants with something connecting them?
I want to put live plants in my cham tank. I already have a planted crested gecko tank, but in that tank all the plants are actually planted in 6 inches of dirt on top of 3 inches of drainage rock. I've been reading chams shouldn't really have substrate in their tank and my cage doesn't have a...
I'm going to make new doors for my cage because I don't like the screen ones I have. Does the type of screen or mesh matter or can I just use like window screen?
Okay. After some digging, I think there are 2 places about 1-2 hours away that could work. Is it okay for the animal to be in a box that long? I mean obviously they ship then so yes, but what could I doto make it less traumatic?
