They have much more chitin... Feel one, almost tough as nails! I just let them do the life cycle thing, but I don't feed them to my green guy. I've seen, up close & personal, how chitin can hurt a chame & I HATE when they food strike as a result of getting mouth hurt. :o

So completely true! We now have two cages in our room, and dubias (another room) - still makes me cringe, but I love our chameleons!
