    Arcadia Ceramic Reflector plug type

I'm looking at this unit: http://www.reptilesrus.ca/arcadia-ceramic-reflector-clamp-lamp-140mm-6/ but I'd rather not have to use the UK to US adaptor. As the UK is 220V and we're 120V here, is this adapter a voltage step down, or is it just a plain adapter. I would prefer to rewire the plug.

Basking light on a them control

I thought chams needs a heat source that gives off light so they know where it is.

Basking light on a them control

Is there any advantage to having the basking light on a temp control system, or is a timer enough. While I'm not worried about our ambient temps in the summer, winter is tricky.

    Measure temp and humidity

With the height of our enclosure I was thinking of three units because I know I'm going to have some challenges, especially in the winter. Our summers can get hot and humid and we go the opposite in the winter. My assumption is the 'ground' level would be my lowest for both heat and humidity...

    Basking light size

Thanks guys. Is there an advantage on using a dome versus the bare bulb units you see?

    Mistking hygrostat

I think one fall back of using this are when the ambient humidity is high enough for long period of time. The Cham may end up with nothing to drink.

I need some ideas on attaching items to the glass terranium.

I have been looking at rare earth magnets. Same thing the Magna brand units. What is on the outside of the enclosure would need something type of handle glued to it so you could get it off.

    Remote Hygrometer

I'm looking for a unit that can monitor multiple zones by just placing sensors. I have an indoor/outdoor weather station that measure temp and humidity and thought something like that could work. I found this: http://www.tomtop.com/humidifier-1081/p-h17390.html?currency=CAD&aid=bpaca2 My unit...

    Basking light size

I'm not worried about bulb wattage, not yet anyways. We just got our main light fixture from Light Your Reptile, a 4 unit T5 bulb 48" unit. When I placed the light on the viv, I've got a limited amount of space for a basking lamp. Here's two pics. One with the lights on, the other off. On...

I'm also looking at rare earth magnets to hold something. Not sure that that something is yet, but a plant holder out of spray foam could be a possibility.

Did you make this backing out of spray foam, or did you purchase it?

The units we have a big. 48x48x19. We bought two but are just going to set up one for now. Other than the mag shelf units how else can I attach vines/plants to the glass sides? I was thinking of large suction cups, but not sure if they will hold. Any thoughts?

    Cleaning a glass enclosure.

You hear about the backlash against glass cages, and I've never seen or felt that here. Thanks everyone!

    Cleaning a glass enclosure.

I wondered about Windex myself. We'll start with vinegar and water, as per Chris' suggestion. With the 3 dogs and 3 cats, there is always something to clean :)

    Mistking hygrostat

So chain them Timer first, then the Hygrostat. Timers says GO, which provides power to the Hygro, when will either turn the pump on or not. Interesting idea.
