    Reptiles recognize people?

I do think our 2 iguanas recognize us as providers of food. When we are near their cage they sometimes get active as though "feed me!" I have had them anxiously alerted to a veggie bag mix we use. They are appx. 4 ft. I had them out in the yard one day and they came running to me when they saw...

Impulsive hubby at it again!!! A Fisher...

Thanks for all the responses. Well he has them together since yesterday. They SEEM to be fine. They are even haning out fairly close. The Senegal crawled right over the Fisher. I just checked on them but I'm going to speak to my husband this evening about their housing situation. I am even...

Impulsive hubby at it again!!! A Fisher...

Okay, we were lucky to be successful with the Senegal Chameleon, our first. Hubby and son came home with a Fisher. Does anyone have any advice on Fishers that would be different than raising a Senegal? The lady at the pet store told them it could probably be successfully housed with the...

    Aflatoxins

I purchase my crickets in bulk. For safety purposes as for as aflotoxin how long would it take to consider your crickets purged? Would they be purged or somehow still affected if priorly exposed to aflotoxin? Thanks.

    Breeder in Houston, Texas?

Yes I would agree the Coatimundi was in a small cage certainly not meant for permanent housing. I do not know if it has larger housing elsewhere for after hours. The person mentions "girl". It sounds like a helper which they have for general purposes. I know of a man there who was efficient on...

    Breeder in Houston, Texas?

I have been there several times. It is very clean. It was impressive to me compared to other pet stores including Char's. I have never been to Pets A Plenty to compare. But my six year old needed to go to the bathroom a couple of times while visiting. You would think the roaches would be in...

    Crazy but gotta ask....cricket breeding

I am paranoid about using a heating pad to hatch them for possible safety reasons. I am wondering if the garage is too hot what about the indoor laundry room and putting the aquarium on the dryer? Would that provide the neccessary environment?

    Breeder in Houston, Texas?

I have been there also. I do find S and S Exotics to be cheaper BUT I do not know anything about quality of where they come from. They do have a clean place with many exotics. They MAY deal with mill breeders which I know to be true of the Sugar Gliders.

    Humidity and pebbles?

I have seen pebbles used in Terrariums. I believe it is to help with humidity. Do you guys use them in your set ups? I wonder if it would be of assistance to breeding crickets.
