YES! bugs are definitely a whole 'nother story... i had to get rid of all my plants and get a whole new batch of plants because mealybugs were on the hibiscus and then went on to the rest of the plants. i really wanted to get another hibiscus to give it another try, but i haven't and so far no...

your cage looks awesome btw! that's exactly what i plan in the future for a second panther.

i used a quad fixture with the 12% bulbs and a plant bulb and it still wasn't enough to keep a hibiscus alive... it bloomed like 2 flowers in 3 weeks and started to go down hill right after. i just got a jungle dawn LED spotlight so the combination of the two might be enough, but i haven't...
