**update** Pascal still does not use her tongue. She lays eggs and sheds her skin every now and then, and otherwise seems healthy and happy. I tried to start breeding my own Dubias and they’re definitely breeding, but the babies seem to stay babies forever, I’ve yet to really see the medium...

Kinyonga- I think I was just feeling discouraged. I felt like she had gone through so much, and that if laying eggs was a difficult task, she may not be able to do it... she still doesn’t even use her tongue to catch insects. Don’t worry, I remember reading that privacy/not being disturbed is...

Man this has been a crash course! Here’s little pascalita digging. Photos not that great because I was being sneaky. Dug practice holes yesterday. When I saw she was dirty I assumed yesterday that she was either digging or had fallen.... Anyway, will post better reply later! Sorry I’ve been...

I attached another photo. I really hope she doesn’t need to lay eggs. I don’t think she’s capable of that task... but the more I look at that photo... When you say make sure she’s staying hydrated... every time I feed her I make sure she gets some water too, and 90% of the time- she doesn’t...

Another update- She’s doing great.... it’s kind of amazing. Energy/alertness has improved so much! She still doesn’t really use her tongue... seems like she’s trying to though. I’m hoping it’ll just kind of improve over time with practice. Since she’s been feeling better, she’s showing more...

Update: She seems better as far as energy goes. However, we’ve been hand feeding her for weeks. She doesn’t seem to be able to “hunt” and doesn’t extend her tongue at all. I was told that reptiles recover very slowly. Just worried, I hope we don’t have to feed her like this forever. Seems so...

    New with questions :)

In case anyone is interested in specifics (like my nerdy/OCD self), I’m attaching a photo of Pascal’s exam/findings/treatment rendered. Turns out, it was more than likely the waterfall after all! You guys are more than welcome to use any bit of this thread to inform other chameleon owners...

Yep! She was checked for eggs and is in the clear. Vet says she’s about 5-6 months old, and it appears that we cought the parasite problem early on. They highly recommended feeding Dubia Roaches because their calcium to phosphorus ratio is much better (crickets 13:1 ; dubias 3:1). The dubias...

Yeah, i told my boyfriend to make sure he brought a fecal sample with him. They didn’t want to do a blood test because she’s so little... she’s got a follow up in a few weeks, if parasites are still present/symptoms haven’t improved, they’ll do a blood test then.

OK! Diagnosis: Vet says she has parasites. She’s on meds and a follow up in 3 weeks. My poor baby

Update: little to no movement today. She actually climbed into feeding container... and the crickets escaped it. Taking her to Reptile & Exotic Pet Hospital tomorrow.

    New with questions :)

Second picture was from last weekend- she was rolling her eye... really freaked me out. We upped the misting and dusted the crickets with multivitamin that contained vitamin a. First photo was 2 days ago. She was shedding her skin before too, and I’m wondering if the debris was just a flake of...

She now has a laying bin at the bottom and a feeding container- which hopefully makes it easier to spot the crickets. There’s a screen at the bottom so we can still mist her habitat and the water will drain and not collect in it/drown crickets.
