We use the Reptisun 10.0 18" for UVB, and have been using a ceramic heating bulb in lieu of a UVA Basking Bulb.
I know most people use just normal incandescent bulbs, but I was wondering, if the light in the room is typically on, besides being in natural light majority of the day, is there a...
I was wondering if anyone had an estimate as to how old PJ is. We picked him up from a rescue this evening.
All they were able to tell us is that he wasn't full grown. He def isn't a baby either!
I can upload some better pictures tomorrow, I don't want to disturb him on his first night...
We picked PJ up from the rescue this evening, and couldn't be more excited. This is the first arboreal cage he has ever had, as he was kept in a fish tank before he was surrendered. We are planning on upgrading his size this summer.
I apologize for the poor lighting in the picture, but his...
I am using a combo thermometer/hydrometer to measure temp and humidity in PJs cage, but darn if I can't get that thing to stick to the mesh!
Does anybody have any advice or clever ideas? I've tried double sided mounting tape, duct tape, and the sticky stuff it came with.
Try a bird store, in person or online. Bird's Paradise or Bird's Extoic in NJ sell them, and I know they do online orders and shipping. I use it in my parrot's cage.
Also, how do people get the thermometer/humidity to stick to the mesh?? Mine keeps falling right off...
Thanks so much for the advice, I will definitely try it out! Where his cage is located is by the kitchen table, though we don't eat there, it is used for homework.
Hubby and I are both getting out Masters. So we thought it would be good, we sit there quietly for a few hours almost everyday...
I originally had planned to put a waterfall in my cham cage, but a lot of the people here advocated against it, even though it had a self-contained filter. The thread with that discussion is here:

Hope it helps!
We originally were planning on using a glass terrarium for the same reasons, though we decided to purchase a small space heater and plug it in near his cage. Having the temperature outside his area just a bit warmer has really helped maintain the cage.
I have read a few articles about...
So when we visited PJ at the shelter yesterday, we moved some of the ornaments in his cage around to get a better view of him, as the other cham he came in with had a large growth on his eye.
When we got near him, he was obviously not used to handling in the least, and was very aggressive...
My sister had bought my niece a cham from a pet store after seeing the movie and lots of begging.....that was the original Pascale. Unfortunately, she had NO idea what she was getting into, and wouldn't listen to my warnings.....
So, yeah. PJ lol.
So my husband and I decided to invest in a space heater for the room, so that we can keep him in his screened enclosure. I'm just overly worried about humidity in the enclosed tank.
So we are back to the Medium-size Repti-Breeze, and I have some large-ish bamboo in the back, as well as a...
