Everything went great! He didn't seem to happy to see us, but he sure liked getting home to his other cage! :D He did get a little chilled getting him from the car into the house so he stayed away a little longer than usual basking. :p

Now that my rat is gone, I want to go a different route for a while. Normally I would clean the cage out, bleach it and get a new rat. But I think I want to see what else is out there that makes a good little furry pet. Any suggestions?

It's truly times like these that make me appreciate being on a forum like this, your all so thoughtful. Because of the tumors and such I might try a different rodent like something for a while. It's just to hard to lose something so sweet and cute. I might go with something meaner and uglier. lol

She had a mammary gland tumor for the past couple of weeks, well it was noticeable atleast. She is my second rat to pass away in like 6 months. The worst part is we're leaving town tomorrow for 5 days. I'm not feeling like leaving now. I'm ready to cry. :(

I get alot more enjoyment out of watching my cham than I thought I would. They're just so intriguing! I was just telling my boyfriend last night that I can see why you can't have just one. :D

Yeah, I was just going to say the same thing. If we're coming home from a late night we need the lights on to get through the house. He'll finally wake up, won't move...but stares...soul piercing stare... Sometimes he'll even lean around obstacles in his view just to stare.

BUT! DO NOT GET A COMPACT! Only get a linear Repti-Sun. You will read alot on the forums about the compacts causing blindness. If your cage came with a hood for compacts you could probably get an aquarium hood to fit with linear.
