I would say its a burn based on speed of appearance. If i got it right you found him like that one day, and the day before he was fine. If an infection spread that quickly i doubt it would have just stopped like that.

I meant have two syringes, one with water, and one with medicine. Have them both handy, once he starts drinking from the water syringe quickly switch them and drip the medicine into the mouth. If you don't get all of it in at once give water again and when he starts drinking switch syringes...

have you ever given him water by pippete or syringe? If he takes to drinking like that it you can switch syringes containing water for ones containing medications making it much less stressful to administer, you don't have too force his mouth open etc.

I'm not an expert on pygmies, but i think their vitD3 requirements are lower than other chams. It would be wise to use calcium without D3 for everyday cricket dustings, and the one with D3 only twice a month. :)

Hi, I've hear a lot of ppl mentioning the possibility of Vit D3 overdose. Has anyone actually had it happen to their animals? Does anyone have any idea what the actual symptoms look like?

I agree, the thing is i was keeping one of those florists' sponges in there coz they're really good for egg laying and cricket reproduction, but i guess i kept it abit too moist... :/ Time for new sponges, hopefully i'll manage to avoid mites in the next round... :)
