Hey guys, as you may have assumed from the title of this thread my 5 month old female veiled hasn't gone to the bathroom in 3 days. Earlier this month i had thought she was pregnant and gave her a laying bin in her enclosure. Turned out she was not but she had eaten some of the sand. A day later...
I had heard that it is okay to put a smaller bin in to see if they even make an attempt to dig a test hole so i put it in there only for that , i have a 5 gal bucket at the ready and had her in it the first two days but she never did anything so i put her back in her enclosure with a smaller bin...
I thought my female veiled might have been pregnant and gave her a laying bin at the bottom of her enclosure but i think she's just been eating the sand. Is this just poop with sand in it or is this a problem?
Im also worried because i have seen pictures of pregnant veiled's and you can see a lump over there hind leg but in that picture i posted above you can see little bumps on her belly, which i am curious to know if those are eggs or something that could be causing her distress. Any help is much...
Unfortunate event occured. Sand was soaked due to dripper leaking all over, so the sand is in the oven drying off, in the mean time i took some pictures of her better then the orignals, so this might give you guys a better idea. Thanks, kenneth
Checked in on day 2 in the morning, she has pooped in the laying bin. Does that indicate anything or no? I cleaned it out and re covered the cage, any guidance would be much obliged
How should I go about misting her? Just like normal or reduce the mistings? Her urate has a yellow hue so I dont want her to get dehydrated while going through this
Well day one, completely covered cage in sheets, and she made no attempt to go to the sand. She ate 6 medium sized crickets. I'm starting to think I overreacted. She just displayed dark black dots and yellow lines and kept walking to the bottom of her branch and stared at the bottom of the cage...
Thanks for all the help guys, i hope she is okay and passes through this successfully. I could see what seemed to be a tiny bulge near her stomach so i figured better safe then sorry and she had kind of gravid colors going on and kept going to the bottom of the cage and looking everywhere for...
Well i've got a bin full of moist sand that can sustain a dug hole without collapsing. My next question is should i put her in it outside of the cage or can i leave the bin at the bottom of her cage and just let her naturally go in herself.
Another quick question, i use normal play sand that is moist enough for her to dig a hole in correct? Going to pick whatever i need up now, so speedy responses is much obliged
