No need really, I really did not see the age of this tread until now but just happened to pop up when looking to see if anyone else had the same issue.
My Cham has been doing this as well for the last week or so and couldn't figure out why. I thought it was because he isn't in a correct size enclosure because I have him in a 36 inch and not a 48. I never thought it could be him seeing a reflection of himself in the UVB housing, but it does make...
Every time I see them in my house I grab them and throw them in the enclosure. They get eaten up right away when he sees them and he seems to really like them.
Your Cham looks great! He is about the same size as my Lando was when I got him. The guy told me he was over a year, which he was completely wrong, but more like 5 or 6 months because by 8 months they are usually full grown. Your enclosure looks good but more sticks and plants are needed. Here...
It could be the size or it couldn't. They look weird so It might just be something he is confused about, also he might just not like them. Some won't eat certain bugs, it must be like how I won't eat lima beans, I just don't like them. My Cham absolutely loves hornworms and I almost killed him...
Mine is right next to my bed. I work from home so my bedroom is also my office. He sits and stares at me all day but around 8 pm he is ready for bed and he goes to his section of the enclosure that he sleeps in and just bundles himself up. He has plenty of foliage to seclude himself, but even...
I was going to use dragon strands as you have but I have spent soooo much money on this enclosure already that I figured I could make my own or make my own lattice but the cost of branches in the pet store is ridiculous. Since I live in East Tennessee with a bunch of hardwood trees in my back...
Thanks. After I posted i realized that I had a package at my door and it was the mister. So that's installed now too. Now I can sit back and just watch him roam. Also, I got him to eat a hornworm out of my hand yesterday. To pissed at me today to do it but it seems hornworms are his cryptonite.
Just an update. Here is Landos new and improved enclosure. I took suggestions and gave ways for him to move to every corner, top to bottom with a ton a vertical and horizontals. l and used some partial designs that I saw in others pics and came up with this. Landos new misterking should be here...
Interesting. I was going to buy some plastic lattice from Home Depot or something but its like 60 bucks a sheet right now and only needing a little bit of it just wasn't worth it, but making my own out of branches and zip ties and utilizing the planting pots to help anchor it is an awesome idea...
Ah, it looks like it would take more to remove but angles can be deceiving. How are you keeping those hatched sticks on yhe right side connected to the screen? Are you using some on the outside of the cage?
