    My veiled stopped eating

With all due respect.... I know his sleeping during the day is a problem. I know throwing up is not normal. Who does?? He isn't eating, he isn't pooping. He needs food. I need to get him to eat. How and what is what I need now. I am afraid he is dying. How do I get him to eat?

    My veiled stopped eating

I know sleeping during the day is a problem, that's why I'm here. He has stopped eating and I need to get food into him. I know throwing up is not normal. I don't mean to sound rude, but who does think sleeping during the day and throwing up IS normal? Telling me it isn't normal doesn't help. I...

    My veiled stopped eating

update on charlie not eating Yesterday I moved him indoors to a smaller cage (18 x18x24") put ubv bulb on him. Covered 2 sides of the cage with plastic to keep the heat in. My grandson got him to eat 1 hornworm and I was able to squirt some water in his mouth, not much. I then set up the drip...

    My veiled stopped eating

Went to the pet store today. This is not a chain, but a mom & pop. There is a guy there who has panthers so I talked to him and he had me buy hornworms and superworms. Said I should order silk worms on line and that some chams just don't like crickets. He also said not to put the food on the...

    My veiled stopped eating

Thanks. He just finished a shed 3 days ago. He does sit under the heat, but not during the day when it is 78-83 on the porch. It cools down to 65-70 now at night. I don't see any poop or urate. I use cricket gut load, a frozen feed for the crickets. No other supplements. I will order some...

    My veiled stopped eating

My veiled, 4 mo male isn't eating. I feed him crickets. He was eating 4-5 3/4" ones each day. His cage is a big birdcage, 3' x 2' x 4' tall. He is hanging on the screen porch ceiling. I have a huge pothos, an asparagus fern and a jade plant in there with numerous branches. I mist him a few...

Official Enclosure Picture Thread #2 - post your pics!

Here's my setup for Charlie my 3mo old veiled. He is on the porch for the summer, so no ubv or other lighting. He gets natural sunshine until 1pm, then the porch is in shade the rest of the day. As you can see, Charlie lives in a big bird cage!

    kEEPING CRICKETS

Learning fast that trips to the pet store for crickets is a pain in the butt. Please tell me how to keep crickets in one of those big tubs. Should it be clear? What goes on the top so they have air? What to feed them and how long will they live? Thank you so much!

best thing to use as feeder cup

outdoor bugs? I live sort of in the woods and have gobs of bugs in the yard. I use NO chemicals in, near, or around my house. Is it safe to let Charlie eat outside bugs and which ones are good for him as opposed to being treats?

best thing to use as feeder cup

We just put the crickets in the bottom of Charlie's cage, a few at a time..... is there a problem with this?

How much to feed? and how old is he?

Thank you so much. We were feeding 3-4 crickets and 3-4 mealworms so we are on the wrong track! Will correct that! He also catches house flies! He is housed in a big birdcage with pothos, jade & asparagus fern plants. Plus lots of sticks. He had a heat lamp, will get the ubv bulb tonight. We...

How much to feed? and how old is he?

Have the best new veiled chameleon! Love him to death! How many crickets should we give him a day? All at once or over the course of the day? And how do we tell how old he is? His body is about 4" long, without the tail. Thank you so very much.
