If my Cham did get bit by a superworm and that’s why he’s gaping does it mean that it’s likely he gets mouth rot? I don’t see anything right now but could it be visible later?

What are signs of mouth rot and how does he get that?

When the heat lamp was on it was around 74 and when it was off around like 71-72. I have a digital thermometer/hygrometer towards the upper middle of the cage and that’s what it was saying.

I use a heat gun to check the temps. I did turn the basking bulb off and he was still gaping hours after it was off so it’s not from that. Also after I posted that he was gaping in the reply I put, he hasn’t done it at all since so maybe not a respiratory infection?

He’s gaping a little less often and for a shorter time but he keeps going to the same spot towards the bottom of the enclosure facing downward and starts gaping. Is there a reason for this?

So since all his lights are off at 8, I should turn off the heat at 4? Isn’t that kind of a long time for it to be off?

I have all the lights turn on at the same time I just have them slowly turn off but I guess I’ll change it so they turn off at the same time too

Thank you for the feedback I’ll try to fix everything but I have some questions. First with the uvb light, since his basking branch is about 8-9 inches away from the uvb I’ll buy a 6% instead. Since he’s had the 12% for quite a few months would that have caused him harm? And will he use the 6%...
