Hi there, my 6 month old male yemen has started going to the only plant pot with visible mud and eating it. Theres no food on it at the time but he fires out his toungue and seems quite happy doing it. of course its so quick i cant actually tell if hes getting mud but what else could it be...
i'll try put up some pics tomorro but with regards the soil, i didnt re-pot mine and i put a length of tights/nylons round the pot and round the base of the plant so he cant eat the soil, and he's doin fine.... (so far) lol
mines usually 1 of 2 places, in the long grass or on a leaf stem (sometimes upside down) but recently he's started sitting on a leaf at the very top of his enclosure??? is he cold? always on the cool side.
thanx for your quick replies dudes, i just wondered as the care sheet i got with my yemen says "temp MUST NOT go over 90". as its heated from above and the lights are too far away for it to touch, i just wondered what would happen if it did go over 90??
Hi folks, i was just wondering about maximum temps for a yemen. My question is this: If a chameleon can thermoregulate itself, why does it matter (to a degree) what the maximum temp in the cage is. If there is loads of room in the cage and the cameleon can chose what temp it wants, why would it...
