    Winter options?

I built an outdoor cage to put my veiled in. He has loved it all summer long. Right when I put him out there his colors completely changed. I pumped water through a mist king a few times a day and on hot days I would just leave it on for a while. I am wondering when i need to bring him...

    Chameleon has strange colors?

Age? When my veiled was young and got pissed off he turned that same color. He only did it once or twice. Once he got older he turned into is 'adult' colors when he got mad or excited. Your cham looks pretty young...

    Alternatives to screen

So is everyone in agreement that we should use vinyl coated hardware cloth vs normal hardware cloth? If so, is this mainly because of rusting or because the chams tongue can get injured striking the metal? Thanks! A.

    Alternatives to screen

Ok... I'm glad I read this posting... I think I got the wrong stuff for my new build. I'm building a pretty big cage- 6' long 3' deep and 6' high. I'm about half way done and picked up some of this wire mesh. It's not coated so I guess I have to take it back. Is it because they can...

    Chameleon Hiccups?

    Dehydration cure

outside I take my veilded outside around 3-5 times a week. I have a disc golf basket and put a plant on top of that and he loves it. I have to watch him a lot though because whenever he is outside he tries to run away to the big trees on the other side of grass. He must think its heaven...

    help with cage setup

Lots of stuff... First off you need to look at a care sheet. That will give you all the basics. Don't have a bowl of water--they only see water moving... Don't have wood chips-- he might eat one by accident. Do have a heat bulb and a basking spot. Give him 12 hours a day of light and...

    slooowww shed

My year old veiled has been sheading for about a month.... its going really slow. He will do one body part at a time. Usually the shead will take 24-36 hours, never this long. I mist him every day or every other day when I water him. I have been feeding him silkworms and crickets with a...

    hi! im new!

Burn I've noticed my veiled hangning upside down really close to the heat lamp on my cage. The top is the same screen as the sides and for some reason he does like to hang upside down. I'm going to build a new cage soon... What would be good to put on the top so he dosn't climb on it...
