yeah his horns are so wonky. I hear that's a thing for Jacksons from the Hawaiian bloodline (so basically all the ones in the U.S. pet trade), due to imbreeding. I love the wacky horns either way!

hey ya'll so i have had the very light and fixture recommended here , basically since right after this. all going well - just wanted to double check, should I upgrade to a double fixture, or does it not make a big difference? just wondering because sometimes i find myself moving the light around...

yes, that is defintiely how im gonna have to do it in the future. he just loved being outside so much, it just made me consider how i can give him that experience in the future MINUS the whole getting lost part. so i will definitely do it this way next time

i really messed up here and feel like the luckiest idiot in the world right now. Wesley was gone for a week, in a wooded area, next to a much BIGGER wooded area with many hawks. i am in MA. this could have been bad. but after a week straight of searching day and night, sobbing, climbing trees...

I ordered my carolina ooths from insectsales.com. Haha kind of took a risk there since it seemed possibly not legit, but they arrived quickly and intact! then the chinese ooths i get from amazon. they have alot of different options on there, but just for chinese mantids as far as i can tell.

ok that is a relief to hear. could be the carrots i was using to gutload my BSFL.. i know those arent ideal gutload, but its all i can get the BSFL to go for. i will crack the next one open if i see another :)
