    Best place to start?

    You could start with a bearded dragon, I think they are a good beginner reptile. It would get you accustomed to working with lighting, basking temps and feeder insects. Chameleon Academy offers so much info in a very digestible way. You should check them out if you haven’t yet.

    Soak the sticks in water for a few hours and it will reduce the fire risk. I bake all of my chams sticks, at least the ones I can fit in my oven.

    I would recommend getting a temp gun off Amazon or Ebay. If you do some searching you can will find one for around 20$. I bought several digital thermometers and found them unreliable and frustrating. Love your cham, very cute :)
