I use bug burger when I can get it. I should order it from the net. I use it dry and shake it on lettuce or other things and with it, crickets devour it, without the dusting, they don't eat nearly as much as fast. I haven't tried superfood, but I think it also helps increase color of your...
I use zoo med repti basking spot lamp bulbs. Reflector incandecants, in 50 for summer since it can get hot up here, and 75 for winter. They usually last a decent while and can find them in double packs (which I searched all over at the reptile show for yesterday). I have tried those daylight...
Jann, what about those soft, fake vines from either fluckers or exo terra? I know they have two sizes, and the large ins't really big, perhaps they might help. I started using them after I had a few of the natural branches break pretty fast on me for my guys. Unless there is something wrong...
Yea, I rarely use potatoes, except when I first get them and use the ones that came with them, toss them after a few days. I stuck a baby carrot cut in half in the tank...not many crickets in there now, but will see if they like it.
Hmm, so romaine and potatoes are not good...and when you get bulk crickets they always pack them with potatoes... Then again, I am now not sure it is romaine or red lettuce I use. Have to check. Oh and the carrots in the cricket cage would get wasted...they do not goto waste for us or the dogs!
Yes, they grow so fast, it seem even faster when warmer weather like summer time. I have tried raising hornworms, took the large ones to let them turn to moths, but I usually ended up with ones with stunted wings (not keeping soil moist enough). I tried crickets also to no avail, but that was...
I forget now if I had the same problem with my panther back when he was little as well. Eventually they will start to take them. My guy stopped eating crickets, I'm not sure if it was a time that one jumped out of the cup and at him and that turned him off or not, he was big when that...
I have thought about this as well. I have a camping trailer that is winterized right now and the deep cell battery is out of it, and have been thinking of getting an inverter or borrow one from the neighbor to hookup the lights and I can hand mist or use the aquazamp. That should last a few...
