    Chameleons in Florida?

I have a 4 month old Veiled Chameleon and was interested in moving his cage outdoors here in sunny Orlando, Florida. I know some people are successful in places like California where it gets far much hotter, so I was hoping to have the same luck here in Orlando. If I could get some of you guys...

Will he still get his uvb?

Yeah, the trees aren't too dense so I think he'll still receive some, I was just wondering if the indirect sunlight would do him any good.

Will he still get his uvb?

Hey guys, currently own a 4 month old veiled. I want to put him in my backyard but there's no direct sunlight. Most of it is blocked by the trees in my backyard, will that be an issue as far as uvb goes?

As a proud owner of a 3 month veiled, I would hate to see any chameleon in such shape. The fact that he is eating and drinking and...

Couldn't have said it any better. There are a vast amount of captive bred on many species, even Parson's!!!

    Sleepy veiled

Well I think your lighting is fine, the only issue I see is that they need to be placed outside* and on top of the cage that way he can get access to the UVB/heat. When he crawls on top of it he is missing the potential UVB, when its on top he will constantly have access to it. But I would work...

    Sleepy veiled

I have to agree, the bulb being inside definitely will stress his eyes out and the fact that he crawls above it says it all. Also, just a other members were saying, screen will be a much better solution. Good luck.
